Everybody knows that obesity is an epidemic in the United States and has been growing around the world. Obesity is notoriously difficult to manage with the standard American food (SAD) and stress. With the increased consumption of food-like substances, which contain little if no nutritional value, our bodies have grown nutrient deficient and constantly hungry. Coupled with the basic, one-size fits all protocol of limiting caloric intake and engaging in moderate exercise, we are left to a never-ending cycle of losing 10 pounds and gaining 15.
Utilizing acupuncture and oriental medicine can help manage one's weight. And weight, as I discuss with my patients, is critical to the alignment and functioning of one's body. Once the body is in balance, one's weight becomes self-managing. With an individualized approach, I will identify the areas of deficiencies, show you how to prepare your body to receive nutrition, and show you how to select nutrient-rich foods that your body needs.
If obesity, dieting and weight gain are viewed as part of a vicious cycle; then the counter-part...together, acupuncture, oriental and functional medicine, nutrition, balance and great health can create a life-filled cycle.
Here at the clinic we have herbs and supplements can help you to lose weight and to detox your body. I will see what type of program your body is most suitable for and will direct the body in healing itself by promoting circulation of nutrients and herbs that the body wants and needs.

3 Simple Ways to Lose Weights
1) Avoid sugars, especially High Fructose Corn Syrups (HFCS) and any corn derivative sugars. Instead of using sugar try Stevia, which I put into my coffee every morning.
2) De-stress. Stress is the number one causes of death in the industrialized nations and the leading cause of obesity. Take some time out to exercise, take yoga, get acupuncture and chiropractic care. Remember our body is like a car that needs routine maintenance check-ups.
3) Avoid smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol.
